Will need to look up parts to see if 360 does have lower resolution hardware....

I love everything about my car except the unstable, bug-riddled pile of steaming crap in the middle of the dashboard. I'd be fired from my software development job if I submitted something that shoddy for our internal testing and auditing, let alone allowed an actual customer even the slightest glimpse of such.

Yes, in particular the Advance. My budget was under $50K.
I selected the RDX over the Q5 and X3. I was looking for a sport-luxury CUV, to match my luxury-sport GLC3004matic. Both Germans where mid-level models (CarPlay/Parking Sensors/Leather), and I selected the RDX because it matched both in ride, sport-luxury feel and added all the extra options for the same/lesser price the Audi/BMW.
But more importantly, my RDX is fun to drive. The Audi/BMW drove great, do not get me wrong.
My infotainment systems in both my MB and Acura ARE BOTH glitchy. Personally, I prefer the Acura over the MB infotainment set up.
Great options for this market. I really do not think you can go wrong with either Acura RDX, Volvo x60, BMW X3, Audi Q5 or MB GLC300.
In this class I would avoid the Infinity Q50, Lexus NX/RX, or Cadillac XT4

I tested about 12 cars for my purchase, the NX and QX50 where the only cars that I knew immediately that they were not right for me.
I don't think I could have gone wrong with any of my top options: Audi, Acura, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Lexus, Range and Jaguar

Road Noise, seat comfort, steering feel, look, interior/exterior styling, and engine feel.

Advance SHAWD, in Sou Cal. Comfortable, sport, and safety features. Approx 25K less than low end Macan which was the only other consideration. Not financed or leased. It's been in the snow already (Mt. Laguna). Best car we've ever had. Previous car '12 Highlander Hybrid, and before that '99 Odyssey.
Miss the roof racks, but we only use them once per year for the Christmas tree. Someone mentioned folding mirrors, yes would be nice, but not a commuter, so it does not matter.

After much considerations (reading up on all the good, bad and weird), while brainstorming between waiting on 2020 MY of RDX or something else, decided to go with latter, the 2019 X3 M40i, for obviously more money, by about $5,000 (comparing my 2019 RDX build sheet shown below, which came even after Costco Auto discount, at ~$52,000 purchase price (before all other ancillary charges). The similarly equipped (and slightly more) 2019 X3 M40i i bought at $57,000 purchase price (before all other same ancillary charges). 2019 X3 seem about as roomy in second row as RDX. But then again, to each their own i guess.

That's not a good price for RDX Advance at all, atleast not the avg savings here which is about $3500. Anyways, X3 M40i is not slob so enjoy!

Yes!
Absolutely!
I LOVE my SH-AWD Advance.
I know that a number of problems have been posted on this forum. I have experienced NONE of them. I am sure some of them are real, but I have read many that were nothing more than ignorance of the contents of the owner's manual.
Part of my decision to take a chance on a new model was my 15+ years as an owner of 2 Acuras (still own both - both still excellent) & Acura's incredible support. I figured if I had problems Acura would fix them as they did for no charge to me on my 15 year old TL-S when I had a problem with the NAV system.

Definitely recommend the RDX! Loved mine so much, I got my wife into a Red A Spec. She loves it too! Strangely, I feel some differences between the 2 (her brakes feel softer, my engine idle seems more noticeable). Minor things though - nothing significant. So far so good on both cars. I've had a 09 TSX, 14 RDX, 15 TLX, and now the RDX. Acura has been great for us - rock solid over the years *knock on wood*.

Hi All, I'm new to the Forum. We are giving the 2019 RDX (Technology) serious consideration; but all the posts about the infotainment system has given us pause. So, to you current 2019 RDX Owners, do you recommend the RDX? What do you love and hate about the car? Did the most recent OTA address your current issues? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
I do not own the RDX but read solid reviews about it. That being said, check out the competition and decide what you like. Do your homework too.

Just reached 15K miles on our AWD Advance this weekend on a trip of about 100 miles from Ohio into Pennsylvania. Really enjoyed the drive, and really enjoy the RDX. The stereo is wonderful. Construction traffic kept our speed down on the way home, but the tradeoff was getting an indicated 28 mpg. Very happy with the car.

We purchased our Advanced in December and have just about 4000 miles. We have not had the car in for service yet. We like the comfort and ride but are very disappointed in the technology. Some days the RDX says "no data" when trying to play our USB music, most days it works just fine making the "no data" error so frustrating. Every once in awhile it starts playing the same song over and over and tries to drive me nuts. At times the HUD will show the next turn as a right and the center display will show the next turn is a left. Very confusing. The 360 degree camera is almost useless. We were on a long drive today talking about the RDX and said this would be our first and last Acura. The RDX is a lease and we have 28 months left.
Would I recommend the car to someone else? If none of the above issues were important to the person and they could get the RDX for a good price I'd say go for it.

My summary: Acura made an awesome automobile but totally dropped the ball with the electronics. A year later, the electronics are still an issue. And it is not just Carplay.

I'd rather have outdated and working rather than bleeding edge broken.
That's why I'm looking at a Lexus GX.

It used to be that Honda/Acura had outdated electronics that were rock solid. Now, they've decided to add some whack-a-doodle touchpad to distinguish themselves from the other manufacturers, but that borked the entire electronics.

This is so on point. Honda's bread and butter is their engines, and they've been able to ride that gravy train for a long long time. Their 4-bangers in particular are unbeatable. However, anyone who has owned multiple Hondas over the last 30 years will tell you that while their powertrain is bulletproof (OK maybe not their automatic transmissions on their V6 models), everything else is so-so. They rattle and creak as they age, and random things like engine mounts or window switches will go kaput like cars from any other automaker. I for one am not surprised that they're having all these teething pains with their infotainment systems now that they're going beyond their comfort zone. As the old saying goes, "When you buy a Honda, you're buying an engine, and they throw in the rest of the car for free".

Turbo's are a new thing for them (1st gen RDX is a one-off). Don't forget about the limp mode issue with the 2.0T in the RDX and Accord. What they're known for is small efficient NA motors. Perhaps I should have been more specific about that.

I voted no because for the first time, my wife wants out of a car she has, her RDX. Quirky infotainment and horrible brakes top her list of nagging every day. Funny how lately Acura launch’s a car that is just ever so slightly behind the mark set by the competition. I also find the ride on her 19 RDX Advance seems a bit too stiff and that is coming from someone that drove a 09 AWD TL which was like there were no shocks. The concept Type-S gives me some hope, but no way I would touch one in year one based on Acura's recent launches.
