I have a 2002 Honda Accord, do you think this counts towards the loyalty?

Hey guys, after a few weeks of stalking this thread and forum I finally bit the bullet and got an FWD Advance package version earlier today. Some of the offers mentioned here came in handy as a reference, and my final OTD price was $46,430 (in Houston) which included some dealer accessories (ceramic tint, wheel locks) and also a spare tire kit. Overall, it was a little over $4000 off if you include all the accessories bundled in but otherwise more like $3500 off MSRP.

Just received an offer with $3900 discount off MSRP on a 2019 RDX AWD Advance from a Dallas area dealer; out the door price is $47750 including TT&L and other fees. There is no trade in or accessories included. They don't have AWD Advance with the color combination I was looking for, so this is for a factory order.

No, the price I received was with no accessories. I don't plan to get any of those from this dealer, there are other places where you can get these for much lesser.

Just picked up a red/ebony FWD A-spec in orange county. 1800 off MSRP. I think I could have negotiated more off the top so I fought for a better deal on my trade in (and got ~500 over the kbb estimate). Pretty happy with the deal since there's a 1.9% financing special going on (lower than any credit union for sure). Roy at ocacura in HB. Big thanks to everyone in this thread - I used it in negotiations lol. Happy to answer any questions.

Great deals
Gee I don’t know how you guys are getting such great deals on these cars. No one in Michigan is budging on price. I emailed 3 other dealers besides the one I visited and every one refused to give a price quote and refused to comment on the price quote I forwarded to them from the other dealer. And that dealer only took 400 off the sticker. Then said “u r nearly getting invoice price” after subtracting the $1,000 Acura loyalty credit.

Same for me a couple months ago. The only negotiating available was on the trade value (I got about $2.5K better than the original offer which wasn't bad to begin with) and a bunch of stuff thrown in (splash guards, cargo cover, floor mats, etc.).

I just got an email from a Virginia dealer, Karen Radley Acura, listing a '19 RDX ASPEC MSRP 44,895 which sounds like it has the extra cost paint. Their end of the month special is 40,895. Probably one specific RDX they need to sell by the end of the month. A good deal if that's what you want. First 4000 off I've seen if there are no catches.

According to Cargurus we have 6 Advance Shawds in all of southern Cal. Good luck on getting much off those cars. Now there are 91 Advance FWDs here so my guess is you can probably find a deal, but who wants a FWD? Glad I snatched my vehicle up when I had the chance.

I, too, intentionally chose a FWD over an SH-AWD.
Why?
+ Cheaper, easier maintenance since there's no rear differential fluid or transfer case oil to change
+ Slightly better fuel economy
+ Weighs 240 lbs. less giving it acceleration, handling, and cargo-carrying advantages
+ $2,000 lower MSRP
And last, but not least... The south. It rarely snows here. On the rare occasion it has, I've never failed to get to my destination in over 30 years of driving AWD, FWD, and even RWD vehicles.
This is a moderately-priced, compact luxury SUV designed to transport people and a small amount of cargo from A to B with reasonable style, comfort, and efficiency. It's not designed for off-road use. The $25K Civic Si and $30K Accord Sport 2.0T I owned previously will out-accelerate and out-handle any RDX.
Like the vast majority of RDX owners (FWD or SH-AWD), I will never carve canyon roads, fly across the salt flats as fast as the vehicle will go, drift the vehicle on dirt roads, or any of the extreme ways this vehicle is portrayed in unrealistic advertisements.
So, for me, SH-AWD is something I don't need or want.
Let's be realistic here - FWD is suitable for the vast majority of drivers - even in the north.

Bought '19 Advance Gunmetal @ $48808 w/o tax. After taxes was a little over $54k.
One slightly exciting thing was the Advance package has heated steering wheel... for some reason on Acura's website it looked like I had to add it as an option of $500 MSRP (w/o install)... and that it wasn't included...
This morning I looked at my steering wheel and... there I saw the button for heated steering wheel. I pressed it... and oh it was glorious!

Yes! Heated steering wheels are the bee's knees in the north and for those of us in the south who are cold-blooded. My first heated steering wheel was in my 2017 Ridgeline RTL-E. I never want another vehicle without one!

You paid $500 over MSRP? Please tell me I'm missing something!

It's a tough to do in a hot market. I wish I could have got $1k off!

Despite some of the deals you see here, it is still a difficult market in many areas. Your location does not appear on your profile. Which part of the country are you in?

I am picking up a Modern Steel Aspec AWD tomorrow, Chicago area is tough negotiating, but I am getting it for $44,500, was shooting for $44k even, but couldn't get any dealer to bite, especially since there are very few Modern Steel cars around this area. Apex blue are a dime a dozen, but there is the paint premium.

Chicago market. Test drove AWD Advanced and loved it. After consulting this thread and inquiring with many local dealers, very few were willing to negotiate much and seemingly the hot colors (red/blue) were being sold days after arriving in most cases.
Pre-tax purchase price of $46,900 incl. color upcharge and destination fees (about $1895 off MSRP) + discounted $488 for Protection Package..
