Brake!
So I get my heated steering wheel installed yesterday at Acura. I am driving away and approaching a red light where there are other cats stopped. As I am approaching at a normal slowing speed “Brake” shows up in the center display in that big orange Lane Departure warning I get sometimes when hugging the line. So...this is the first time I have ever seen that happen. I stopped at a store and continued on my way and this warning never repeated. I asked the service department about it today...and... might as well have asked my Yorkie. Any thoughts on how this randomly and for the first time in over two months of driving showed up...and why it didn’t again?

No. I like it. It’s probably one of the few warnings I really like having...it could beep and be even better. Just weird that it has gone on once only..ever. And that is right after I got it back from the dealer.

It turns on if you are going more than a certain mph (can’t remember specifically) than the car in front of you within and a certain distance. I’ve had mine basically slam my brakes on once when someone stopped short and all my shit when flying forward 😂. I didn’t hit the car though. I’d say it works.

I believe it uses radar built into the emblem to detect if you could crash into a vehicle and it will warn you in different states before it acts on its own to stop you

There was a car pulled over to the right and I veered to the left to go around it and the lane departure steered me back toward the parked car, "brake" showed up, and my car applied the brakes. I had wondered about this and what would happen if a car was partially in my lane and I needed to cross the middle line to go around it whether the lane departure or braking would kick in, and in my case it did. It's something to be aware of.

From the manual:
When the CMBSTM is activated, it will continue to operate even if the accelerator pedal is partially depressed. However, it will be canceled if the accelerator pedal is deeply depressed
