I'm regretting not getting a heated steering wheel and was wondering what a reasonable cost would be. I called the dealer who sold me the vehicle and they quoted me $625 plus tax out the door, is this a fair price?

if u want this feature, why didn't you buy the trim that comes with it.

I screwed up and forgot to add it. Actually you don't even need a package, you can just add it on for $499. Sigh, lesson learned.

Here is a scan of the 2019 RDX accessories sheet my dealership gave me (ignore the highlighted sections). You can see that a heated steering wheel can be added for $685 to $714, depending on your model including install.

I have to say the fact that's even possible and it's pretty reasonable to me, is amazing. In the past adding a heated steering wheel after the fact to certain cars could be up to 2k.

Because of the location of the 2 driver's side air vents you can position them so they blow warm air onto the steering wheel which actually warms the whole wheel,, so when you get in the car it's warm. Also if you drive with your hands at the 10 & 2 position it blows hot air onto your hands. Cheap fix for those without a heated steering wheel that works for me.

My dealership was offering a 20% discount on accessories when I bought the RDX. I found some items (non-installed items like floor mats, cargo covers, etc) for less at nearby dealerships and was able to negotiate the price down even further.

My wife had a heated steering wheel added to her 2018 MDX with the tech package and it works great.

Quick question: how does heated steering wheel works? Does it stays on all the time?

In my wife's Murano it het very hot and than turns off, and can be turn back on like in an hour later very annoying , wish it just stay warm not hot but all the time as heated seats.
