I live in the suburbs, and it is often very dark. I had them on the car this replaced, and maybe used the 5 times in 11 years, and the help they gave was minimal. My other car has them too, and I have used them once or twice in 4 years.

So to me, the answer is no. But if you are in an area prone to thick fog, that might be different.

I don't believe I've ever found fog lights to be useful. They do look cool .

I can assure you that fog lights are not as useful as once they were thought it would be. The only actual use of a fog light is when driving slowly in thick fog to see the margin of road (on passenger side). And the main use of fog lights otherwise is AESTHETICS ONLY. They sure look cool, and I love them. But newer cars with more advanced lighting technology such as Mercedes are doing away completely with the concept of foglights. Switching foglights on while driving fast on highways can actually reduce your night visibility and can potentially cause accident involving animals. Many cars turn of fogs when high beam is turned on for the same purpose. If you are thinking of ordering fogs, do it. And enjoy the cool looks (of course that is one important part of buying this new RDX). I would've done the same too.
You will soon realize it yourself how often it has a real use though.

I fully agree with this post, fog lights are just for looks these days and actually hinder vision and cause eye strain because they cause you to look closer in front of your car vs down the road.

I have had fogs on every car I own and I do think they look cool, but for me I turn my fogs on in inclement weather like rain or snow just to increase visibility. I.e so people can see me better not so I can see better.

You noticed that too. They don't light up much of the road in front of you like the old ones used to.

Wait until you are "older" and your vision starts to decrease in the dark...you might feel differently about fog lamps.

That said where I lived in the mountains on the German-Austrian border you would not drive a car without them.

I had fog lights on my old car and used them a few times in the 10 years I owned it. I found them useful in heavy snow as well as fog. I didn’t get them on my RDX, but I do think they’re good to have. It’s like carrying a spare tire; you don’t use them every day, or maybe even every year, but when you need them they’re pretty useful.

I don't know about this “modern lighting” argument through - maybe they’re not needed on the RDX. But I find that argument dubious because really fog lights are about the height and angle of illumination. Standard height and angle beams, even fancy LED ones, are still going to reflect off fog and snow.

I keep the fog lights on all the time. In addition to providing a little more light, I also swear I get fewer flashes from oncoming drivers thinking my high beams are on. While not every driver realizes that if the fogs are on, the high beams are off, enough do.
