thinking about selling my acura. austin tx
I have blue 2002 tl-s very clean that I am considering to sell. I might be a third owner (when I bought it I tought I was the 2nd need more research).
~130k miles on it. No major damage, minor scratches.
Everything is stock except tinted windows, and it has a chrome wheel too.
Tranny has been replaced twice, once before I buy it in 2008 and recently 2-3 of months ago, by McDavid acura. It has a 36k miles and 3 yr warranty on it.
I have all the service maintenance records.
I will try posting some pics later.
I am looking for what price range I should be targeting at.
Thanks!

I went to nadaguides.com
punched in your mileage and car.
for a clean trade in, it gave a price of $5850.
you might want to check out nada and KBB.
then once you know the value, you can start playing with some numbers.

I see 3G TL's with those miles selling for 8k. Your target should be 6-7k with room to negotiate. You should also find out what dealers are willing to offer on trade.

Acura wasn't the mistake, you were.
When a new generation models comes out, ANY old generation vehicle would depreciate. Acura has the best resale value.
You're talking about a 9 year old car with 2 generations ahead. NADA & KBB price is based on condition. Your car literally has to be PERFECT to get the price listed. Also don't account that you may have got ripped off when you bought it.

I bought my 3G TL around the same time w/ ~70k miles for $1k less than you. Paying retail is overpaying. I was also considering on buying a 03 TL-s for $11k w/ 34k miles. The 3G was the latest gen and it didn't have a transmission recall so I opted to pay $1k more because I knew my return would be higher if I sold it. Same way a prospective buyer will look at your car.. plus tack on the current miles.. btw.. did you buy it at Sterling?
