my first post is a fail smiley lol
im as you can see new to this site.

i joined mainly for my parents cuz they recently bought an 07 RDX and im here to try to learn a lil more about it for them

i own a 2003 rsx type s and im also on club rsx.

do you guys have meets very often?

 

yeah, we try to get together every month, although a bit unorganized.

 

haha its all good. its like that with the crsx h town crew.

i met one guy that said he was on this site. at fox and the hound in the woodlands, dude had a 06 or 07 pwp tl. i forgot his name though.

 

heh we had an 07 rdx... was probably gonna be mine eventualy buuuttt... some stupid girl ran a red light right outside of UH and hit a passing car which spun and smacked into our rdx :\
motor still seemed good but they claimed it as a wrecker since repairs were gonna cost around 20k anyways and just gave us a lil more than 23k for it... now we're down to 2 honda/acura's haha TL Type S and an ra1 Odyssey

 

hey any way you can get some parts of the rdx? headlights and the ecu??

my mom was the only one in the car at the time this happened, she just dropped off bro at uni and was comming back when this happened but yeah shes fine
and insurance company took the car already lol i wouldve taken a headlight as a souvenir memory of the car but wasnt really thinking at the time i went to look at it T_T

Yikes thats a bad wreck but headlights still semm good,glad your mom was ok.
You have like 10mins i think, after you post to edit your post or else it locks you out. You post count also doesn't increase in the regional section.

and ehh iunno, we were gonna sell it after we paid off bro's TL but that went down the drain but i guess we wouldve gotten the same amount of money if not a little more. and moms still not sure what she wants to get yet... dad has a friend that works at sterling mccall acura so we get discounts lol most likely gonna end up getting a mdx or something along that range.

thats a good amount of equipment. any flashes and triggers? flash photography is where its at!

 

i WAS gonna invest on a strobes but i eneded up spending $300 on a new phone so i basically screwed myself over... but you could always be cheap and run around with the same flash and fire it off at different places lol currently have a canon 277t speedlight and some crappy vivitar im guessing flash thats actually alright haha

is it your first dslr or what? and did you but it with the kit or just the body? and 3 of mine are old ass canon lenses that were lying around along with a canon t70 film camera but i did get an adapter for them to work but theres no autofocus~ haha i only have 2 nikon lenses.

 

I've been playing around with BadA$$vtec's D3000 for about a year now.
decided it was time to purchase my own.

I bought it with the kit lens, 18-105mm.

 

I'll get my car all pretty so u guys can have fun with it

haha took me about a year to get where im at now lol
and i tend to do alot of "out the window" rolling shots and they come out surprisingly alright hehe... now imagine if one of us had a rig.. @_@

Hey guys...ill be in houston this week on friday...and i was wondering if anyone here is selling a 07-08 TL BASE front lip?..or anywhere in houston i can purchase this?..

The girlfriend has a 7D I borrow often, still trying to learn how to use but for the randoms sake I bought a GoPro which mounts nicely to the car. Took it for a test drive today just to get a few random shots, nothing in particular.









would have looked nicer with wide angel option and not tilted so much down towards the car

I want to try my hand at making a random TL amateur video just to kill time. If anything ever gets planned to meet up.

 

Me and a buddy when we do flash shots thats what we do. U gotta get the settings just rite for the pics to come out good but its decent. Just run around the car and do like 5 flashes. I'll post some pics we did when I get on my computer later on.
