went to go take a look at Tl-s today at sterling McCall and that ish was beat up. paint drip, mis matched paint, tear in seats, scuffs and they wouldn't go lower than 17k

Scotty did you see some blacked out TL or something in the lot? Passed by on the freeway and it caught my eye but I wasnt quick enough to see it in detail lol

 

Obvious advice, but take your time. It took me 5-6 months to find my used 3G TL back in 2007. Widen your search area if your picky. I transfered my 3G from a Plano Carmax, just to look at it. It didn't have any signs of hard body damage (OEM front/rear bumpers, OEM paint throughout, etc.) and had the exact int/ext color combo, Navi, 6MT, low miles I was looking for.

 

yeah the farthest I can go is to Dallas or Austin cause I work everyday and I'm burrowing a car right now and that person is suppose to return back from his vacation soon so I have to find a car soon so can't really wait

it goes up 3/4 quarter of the way after a few days of getting on it freeway run.
I noticed a small leak around the plastic part of the radiator. It could be too much pressure? I'll try the performance radiator cap. But I'm also replacing the radiator cuz it's under warranty.

 

I don't think you can put an intercooler on this s/c. but I can go meth kit, add misimoto thermostat to cool the engine at 160 instead of 180F. I'm still looking for an ecu that is like jnr but not $1500+. aem and emanage are no good.

 

Going to look at another TL on Mon. 2004 TL 6spd anything I should look out for??

I would offer him 5k and build a turbo setup. These cars can run up to 400k miles easily. Just need minor maintenance.

you can fit an intercooler on the S/C, but it will have to be custom.
the J&R ECU is based off the the MegaSquirt 3.
you can buy the megasquirt3 mainboard for CHEAP, like 300 dollars cheap.
the reason why J&R inflated the price is because, he took the time to figure out how to incorporate it with the TL's ECU.

I have purchased the J&R ECU, but i havent received yet.

 

So found out that I need to give the car back by Sunday so need a car real soon.

Narrowed it down to these two

2004 NHB/tan 80k $11,000

or

2006 AM/blk navi 80k $15000

and the car i want but cant get ahold of the owner through numerous phone calls and emails

Would it be a blown fuse if the power locks work with the remote but don't with the buttons inside the vehicle? I doubt that it's the actual switch unit itself because both driver and passenger stopped working at the same time.

 

The red G is super slick... wasn't aware of a meet in Webster.
