I was approached by a president of one of the largest car clubs in the area to hold a Cars and Coffee like event the other day. I guess C and C is limiting the types of cars that can come and show and people are upset about that. So I am starting a monthly meet at Euless Trinity High School (500 N. Industrial Blvd, Euless TX 76039)

Trinity High School Park and Shine

2012 dates: July 7th, August 4th, September 8th, October 6th and November 10th

2013 dates: March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th (other dates to follow)



This event will be held once a month at Trinity in the front parking lot to help raise money for groups/clubs that belong to Trinity High School. The event will be from 8 am to 12 pm each time and at the end of the event a group will be drawn to see who receives the money raised that day. There will be no judging of cars nor any trophies. This is an event to park, show off and donate towards the school.

I hope yall can come out and help support!!

Sounds cool! Something a LOT closer.

I see that it is a fundraising event. How do they plan to get people to donate money? Will there be free coffee or donuts or something and ask people to donate? Or are people just supposed to show up with their cars and donate?

 

Right now it is just show up and park. Donate what you want. Cars and Coffee is the same except they have a dealership backing their free stuff. Its just me for now, trying to help out the ones who are no longer welcome to Cars and Coffee.

It would be nice to get 300 cars to show up and donate a dollar each. But I know not everyone donates. I usually throw in 20 bucks and end up getting 2 or 3 bottles of water when I am at Cars and Coffee.

Its going to start out small and hopefully it will turn out to be just like C and C in a way.

Woke up around 11 after a long night

How was the turnout?

 

Had about 40 cars show up in all. Most came between 8 and 10am. We raised $57 for the Hispanic Scholars since their name was drawn out of the hat. Actually turned out pretty good I think.
