So I just found out that the front camber plates I am getting for the STi (the fancy adjustable ones) just changed parts numbers and pricing. This happened like the week I ordered. I sent a note to the place and let them know I couldn't pay more for an old part and they were very cool about saying just send it back for a full refund. They don't carry the new part number (I think it is the same piece with a new number to allow a new price), so I am having to buy it from a new exclusive dealer on the west coast.

Long story short, I won't be paying the $425 but will now pay $259 (yes, a $166 savings). The dramatic price difference has to due with the exclusive dealership cutting out wholesaler mark-up plus a test facility sharing deal on future product development--giving me nearly the old wholesale price! I have my order in to the new place and will ship the old part back when it gets here (today, according to UPS).

So for now, I have my Prodrive springs and my Group N rear strut top hats sitting in the garage waiting on the camber plates!

ATX, wouldn't it be more fun to get a stock 240SX and build it up yourself? You will spend a little more money but learn exactly what you want at each stage. To me, half the fun is researching and selecting the upgrades, while the other half is figuring out how to get them installed and then testing 'em! Just a thought....

I hope it was just because you didn't see the plan and not because you were trying to be funny. Some things you don't mess with--like the 15,000 post by the original poster of the thread.

The past is the past but I had to say something or this would have bugged me a long time. I have said my piece and moved on.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to do that (I have been helping a friend build his for the past year and it is almost done ), but if I were to sell the vette, I would want to buy something and drive it on the cheaper side, and not have to build it up.

So, as much as I would like to do that, if I were to buy one, it would be a built one.

Ha, I have been looking at ITR's and GSR's, but, the ITR's are just damn expensive and they are both rear wheel drive. I don't think that I could go back to a front drive vehicle again after having the vette.

Cool!! Sounds like everything worked out in the long run. Can't wait to see the ride after it's knees have been chopped.

So, I got to play with a 575 this morning. I was driving like I normally do, a little faster than everyone else, when I look in my rear-view and see this silver 575 pacing me.

Long story short, we end up playing around a little and then I had to take off to work.

Oh yeah, his plate read "A BLUR"

Thanks for getting that out there. It was kind buggin me to. But oh well, it is in the past, can't do anything about it now.

We just need to make sure that RUF gets the last post in this thread!

Inferno I dont remember what you said about the weekend of July 22nd. Would you be up for a meet that Saturday? I think thats what we are going to try to do. Now that I think about it we should probably do it Sunday. We are going to need a day to recover from Friday night.

We have to give sithgirl the benefit of doubt. She hasn't been on in a while and probably had no idea what our plan was. I hope this isn't why Ruf has not posted yet

I doubt Ruf would take it that personal. As for Brandi, Im sure she had no idea. It was just very unexpected. I was really looking forward to Rufs last post.

I agree with Ethan. Sithgirl was just being silly and didn't know the dealio. Ruf wouldn't take it personal -- he always disappears for a while when he gets too busy.

I'm pretty sure Mantis can unlock that thread and do whatever he wants to it to get Ruf's last post in there on the 15,000th post. Thoughts?

I would bet my left nut that Brandi had no idea.

This thread is a virtual sticky given how often we post in it.

The earlier the better. I hate the part where you have to get up, but when you're done you still have the whole day ahead of you.

There's Grand Prairie CC, best special they have is $32 each after 10 am, includes cart. But we don't have to play there. Where do you live?
