Though you did miss out on a little sprint with myself and a couple of the others at the front pushing the 130s for a couple miles. Maybe next time.

so once again, heres what you pansies missed. Kurt...well, i dont have to say much, you da man. We all had a great time....we got home at 11:30 (65mph the whole way home) we are still up and my "company" is entertaining themselves with some drinks and girls, I am posting on AZ and am totally sober eh, @ least they are having fun. Mark and Janet are excellent "wingmen." These drives really are fun and I am glad to have met them.

Hi Mark/Janet!!!

Enjoy the pics, there weren't really any great cars this time, just some modded SL55's, C6 ZO6's, Ford GT's, and Ferrari SuperAmericas. Nothing special though!

He did pretty well out there...even if it involved toasting the front rotors. Mid range torque > *
Imagine if you had the headers on too...

ATI ULTIMATE STREET NIGHT presented by Sunoco
For drivers of pure street legal cars for the "ultimate" in heads up grudge racing. Take it to the Track!!
2003-12-12
An effort to get illegal racers off the streets and into a sanctioned drag racing facility, ATI Ultimate Street Nights presented by Sunoco are for drivers of pure street legal cars for the "ultimate" in heads up grudge racing.

The first Ultimate Street Night, held in 2001, was an overwhelming success. More than 300 racers turned out for the event. Now in 2004, Texas Motorplex, ATI, and Sunoco are bringing this popular event to the schedule on a regular basis. Ultimate Street Nights will run on the last Friday of the month. Check the schedule for dates.

Held in a format similar to street race style, track officials let racers choose their own opponents, and the racing is heads up, utilizing an instant green start system. The scoreboards will be turned on in 2004, so elapsed times and speeds are displayed to the public. Racers will still receive individual time slips.

ATI Ultimate Street Night presented by Sunoco is open to street legal vehicles that are tagged and inspected. Open Headers and Slicks are allowed. Vehicles can be trailerd in the gates for 2004. All vehicles must go through a technical inspection to be able to race. Racing is open to anyone with a valid driver's license. All NHRA safety rules are in effect. Drivers running 13.99 or quicker MUST have a helmet. Drivers running 11.99 and faster must have Rollbar, 5 point harness, and fire jacket no exceptions!!!

ATI Ultimate Street Night presented by Sunoco Schedule

Gates Open.......8:00pm
Racing...........9:00pm - 2:00am

Racer Entry........$15
Spectator Entry....$10

For more information call 972-878-2641.

Ahh crap, I thought that we were going to do the 5th? If it is the 12th, I cannot go-will be in Houston for the Grand Prix

Also, what happens if I break 11.99-there is a good chance that I will, and I don't have any of the above except for a helmet . . .

That does sound wierd. I would ask drew and see what he thinks of it. Also I would make sure you equal amount of fluid compare to water.

I didn't add any coolant, just water, so I will make sure I add at least a half gallon pretty quick!

No offense, but I'd like to see if you can get your car to hook up and run below a 12. I'd go in and let them know you are not experienced and will be running in the 12's so you don't have to "suit up" for it.

Have you talked with your insurance agent yet? There may be a different deductible amount involved in this case. We have a $500 deductible, except when it's considered and uninsured or hit&run case, then it's $250. I don't know how they would treat this case but it's worth asking. Also, it's not counted against you if you are concerned it might raise your rates. I'd get a quote on fixing the bumper and painting to figure out the cost. Don't take it on yourself until you have all your facts on cost. You can get quotes and talk with the insurance company and then decide if you want to make a claim or not.
