Did any of you guys check out CCM? I wasn't able to go but I randomly drove through some car meet north of 290 off of springdale saturday afternoon.. I'm not sure what forum it was but lots of civics, a white supra and a black tsx from what I remember.. maybe 15-20 cars.
Cars and Coffee comes to Austin (finally!!!)
The infamous Cars and Coffee meets have finally come to austin. Meets are held in Leander at John Eagle European in Old Town. I'm not familiar with the Leander area but would be more than willing to go check this out. I have seen pictures from the Houston and Dallas events and this is definitely something worth attending. The last time I was in Leander I was headed over to play a round of golf at Crystal Falls.. As I'm driving down the hill to the golf course I see a red chevy truck parked & two smoking hot blondes making out, one sitting in the passenger seat of the truck (door open) with her legs wrapped around the other.. I couldn't believe my eyes and naturally I jack my brakes, they look over but I have 5% tint so I doubt they saw me.. but after a short glance at me, they went right back to making out. I must have watched for a good 30s before slowly driving down to the course. Good memories of Leander.. anyone up for a Crystal Falls cruise? lol..
drive around and make you a list of the spots you like and the time of day the sun is at the best angle for that location. even use your own car so that you have a pic of that spot. i do not remember the exact location of all my spots but i can find them again if i drive around. i try and use new ones all the time. one of those things that is constantly in the back of my mind. kind of how my lowes spot came about, whoa whoa back up as i drove past.

the color of the IS-F is silver. so my options are pretty open with a neutral color like that. Thanks for the sample Kevin. can i get an address for that Lowes? also the location of the RX-7 Shoot

rx7 was the domain and i believe they demoed that building. the lowes is right around springdale and mopac, up north.
downtown is a difficult shoot. you would do more of a traffic scene where he comes around the block and you have a nice background with buildings, people and traffic lights. or you stand in the middle lane of congress and he would drive towards you and swing to block traffic temporarily. this allows you that second to grab your shot and him to take back off. there are also some really cool businesses on soco that make great shooting spots. seek 'em!

on another note. I finished the shoot for my friends IS-F ended up going out to Pennybacker bridge. beautiful location for the first half second half headed out to the Hill Country Galleria. First time there it was beautiful as well. Will post pictures as soon as im allowed to!
