Verizon Offers Settlement To V710 Owners

Verizon Wireless earlier this month reached a settlement in the class action suit brought against it by V710 owners. Subscribers who purchased V710s have 4 options to choose from before December 9, 2005. They can keep their V710 and receive a $25 credit from Verizon. They can return their V710 and all accessories for a full refund but keep their service. They can also return the phone for a refund and break the service agreement without a termination charge. Additionally, users who are satisfied with their handset can opt out of the class.

Note:

Service has to have occured with a V710 prior to Jan 31, 2005.

I'll have to read this later... But I'm pretty sure I got this phone after the class date.

What was wrong that they required this? I loved my V710 up until this weekend when I lost it. It's being replaced with an e815 this week.
