Windows Media Player Auto Upate

How do I turn off the auto update in Windows Media Player 8? It only lets me check for updates every month. How do I turn it completely off? Thanks in advance.

I think if you take the check mark out fo the download codecs automatically it will ask u before it does the updates at which point you can say no.
