Win32 Qhost trojan

Anyone know how to get rid of this trojan that is installed on a Windows VISTA computer? I have looked everywhere on the web and nothing really helped.

Upgrade from Vista .......

You can download the ISO legally from the sevenforums. Then you can probably find a hack for it somewhere if you don't have a product key. I would just do a clean install though because then you're killing two birds with one stone IMO.

If you don't want to go that route, why not just follow the path in the registry to those folders and delete it?

If your computer is still usable, I would back up your data and reformat. W7 can be had for cheap now, much much better OS than Vista so I'd also upgrade. Or get the W10 beta.

I wouldn't go with the Win 10 beta since it ends in April and then he will just need to go though the process all over again.

If the keys aren't in CurrentControlSet, is it not inactive?
