Why are there so few features using bluetooth + PC?

I think I've asked this before somewhere, but its still bugging me. Can any of you phone experts answer any of these questions?

I have bluetooth on my Macs and on my PC. I have bluetooth on my Samsung A900. Why can't I do anything with this? The only purpose this serves is that is allows me to use my phone as a modem.

I'm aware that some phones can be synchronized with a PC to sync contacts and such... but not mine, and even if so...so what? Is that it?

Why isn't there something that allows me to operate my phone using my pc, through bluetooth? If my phone rings, can I get something that will pop up the caller ID on my computer? Why can't I dial and/or answer the phone with my pc, using the mic and speakers?

If I want to send a text message with my phone, why can't I pull up some program to compose the message on my computer, then send through my phone? Same with receiving messages...

A $50 headset can get caller ID, and send/receive calls... why can't my computer?

Usually the phone manufacture has a software package that does all these things over that BT connection. Even though BT is standardize, that doesn't meant the software on the phone and the PC have to cooperate.

You should be able to use it as a modem and voice gateway. Best thing to do is dicovert eh available services on your phone from your PC to see what it will do.
