Verizons devices are behind the curve of other providers, however their network coverage is the selling point.

With that said, my Blackberry 7750 from Verizon sucks, but I am getting a 7250 soon

my LG VX6000's battery is absolutely terrible. I had to give up my old LG for a refurbished phone with a new battery and it made no difference at all.
Also, Verizon's phones are not as "cool" as other prodivders. The service is.. ehhh.. alright. I live in a rural area and the service is lackluster. I'm certainly not impressed with Verizon service or their products either.

what i'm saying is that the phones that they offer aren't that great compared to other service carriers. Why cant they offer a better selection? They definitely lack a cool factor. The service is good, but I hate the billing

Yes, Cingular and Sprint have cooler phones, but the coverage in my area sucked with those two carriers. Hopefully Verizon will pick it up with the "coolness" factor though. I would love to have the Razor phone since its tiny.

Surprisingly enough, the RAZR is actually really quite large. I got to play with one for a little bit this weekend and it's actually got a lot of surface area, just a very slim profile. I actually am rethinking the RAZR and am considering a different phone instead.

Oh, and I had Verizon for work and the sound quality was mediocre (might have been the crappy samsung phone too) but it didn't get anymore coverage in DC than my Cingular phone. I think it just depends on where you are located. In large metropolitan areas, the coverage is pretty much the same.

Not to mention most of NEXTEL's phones are by far the biggest and ugliest available unless you want to pay through the ass for one.

I'm in the market for a new Cingular phone and also played around with the Razr a few days ago. I had the exact same impression. Yeah, it's thin but there's no way I'd want to carry something that wide in my front pocket. I really like the size and shape of the Samsung phones, but their size and shape seemed to be all they had going for them. BTW, for what it costs and the glowing reviews it has, I thought the SE 710 felt really cheap. Next on my list to check out is the Audiovox 5600.

i agree with viperrepiv

verizon has sone decent phones but they are behind everyone else. i used to use the excuse that they are on cdma instead of gsm, but there are tons of other carriers on cdma in the world.... verizons service >* (at least in my oppinion)

i haven't had one problem with my vx6000, my batt isn't terrible, it lasts 3 days on a full charge. my old nokia got 6 days even when it was 2 years old

ive been using the razr for 6 months...its not big...the width is not a factor. i couldnt see it being an annoyance at all in your front pocket. i never once thought to myself hey this phone is too wide. but to each their own.

v710 dimensions - 3.70" x 1.93" x 0.92"
(94mm x 49mm x 23mm)
Razr dimensions - 3.86" x 2.09" x 0.54"
(98mm x 53mm x 14mm)

I sometimes forget that I even have the phone in my pocket.

Oh and when the service is equal.........Cool Phones > Service.
