Whats the point of storing #s in a phonebook

Whats the point of storing #s in a phonebook

on my Samsung SCH-A310, if someone calls
and I still don't know who the fuck (310) XXX-XXXX is

x

I mean a phonebook IS suppose to associate names with numbers is it not??? An hour later after searching through the god damn thing I find out who it was..



I mean sometimes it does associate and most other times it doesn't..about 30 % / 70 %.

what?

when you have that persons number in your phone book it shows up..that's the whole point
