What Software To Use For Designing Logos?
the overwhelming response will probably be illustrator. The reason is that when you have a nice vector logo to work with the possibilities are endless. You can convert to swf for flash, use clean with acrobat, eps is easy to use for printers, can use spot colors easily, and then bring it to photoshop to make a web version if you wanted with more complex shading and shadowing etc.
Another alternative is freehand but it has recently been discontinued by macromedia.

And since Adobe bought macromedia I hope that we'll see even more integration of the swf format to ease the pain of exporting illustrator graphics to flash (i.e. creating symbols, buttons,
)
