What do u think about turning a computer lcd into a tv?
Would it be a bad idea to buy like a 17" or 19" computer lcd for $200-$300 and then add a tv tuner to it, I dont know how much those costs, but wouldnt that be better than buying a 20" lcd for $550? If you guys know a good tv tuner tell me, but with those tv tuners, can I hook up the cable to it or no?

i dont play games it would be the lcd and tv tuner, i just wanted to see if it would be cheaper to buy a computer lcd and tv tuner then buy a tv lcd, i was also wondering if the quality of a computer lcd as a tv would look good

the quality wont be anywhere near that of an lcd tv, but it will be sufficient if all youre interested in is watching tv while being on your comp. If you want some HDTV quality stuff, i dont think its gonna happen

I wouldn't get an All-in-Wonder if you are a gamer. The reason for this being that you would invest a lot of money in a card that is powerful and has a tv tuner, then have to dump it all if you want to upgrade in the future. I'd either go for a viewsonic external tv tuner or perhaps a seperate pci tv tuner card inside the computer. Although the external is probably easier overall and doesn't require the computer to be on, and you don't have to deal with the sometimes shitty drivers that Tv tuner cards come with.
