I noticed that VZ dropped the price on the v710 and now I can get it free with NE2 and I'm considering getting it. I'll also wait a week to see how crippled the treo650 is on VZ, so it's a tossup between those...

If you've been using your v710 for awhile, what do you think about it now? Did you upgrade your firmware (help any?) ?

I've had the v710 since the day it was released at Radio Shack last August. Did the firmware update (hacked). It has been holding up pretty well. Battery life is decent, sound quality is pretty good, paired well with the TL (battery and signal show in the MID). Don't really use the camera much, but have a few mp3 ring tones that I copied, not "downloaded". My only complaint is pretty minor, but the inside screen gets scratched by the number pad. Newer versions should have this fixed.

Overall it's a good phone for Verizon customers who want BT.

 

a lot of complaints about the battery life... is it that bad??
Also, does the phone freeze a lot?? about how often?

 

i had to get the extended battery and it only will freeze with i try to activate the bt while on a call. other then that i love the phone. still waiting for the treo 650
