Does somebody own the Motorola V710 and currently use it with the USB cable ? At first, I bought the bluetooth adaptor+software, but it seems that it's not compatible yet with the V710, only the USB cable works for now.

But even there, I can't install properly the driver for the USB cable to acces the phone with the Motorola Mobile Phone tools.

I read somewhere that the USB drivers are not compatibles with service pack 2 of windows XP, is that right ? Is there a way to install USB drivers with XP SP 2 ?

Otherwise, I install the bluetooth adaptor the way its explained on another topics on this forum. I can access high speed internet but not the phone memory, like the adress files, music or video.

Please help !

 

I got Mobile Phone Tools to work, but didn't really do anything with it. Download 3.1.1 from http://www.inetron.com/vzw/. I'm not sure if you need to upgrade the firmware fist, but I did that before trying to use MPT. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks a lot ! Just after I post this thread, I found myself the post about this link and it does work perfercly, after I've done 3 live updates. I'm just not sure if all the functions, works, like pictures transfert but the adress book transfert has worked.

Here is an update that I receive from BVR:

The latest v.3 version of Motorola Mobile PhoneTools can be downloaded by following the instructions provided below:

1. Go to www.bvrpusa.com/cc/mpt311h.exe
2. The username is customer and the password is download
3. Click on "Save To Disk" and then Save this file to the Desktop or My Documents
4. Save this file to the Desktop or My Documents
5. Run this file from where you saved it, by double-clicking on the file name.
6. Go through the installation which provides directions as you go.
