Unlocked BlackBerry 7100t question
Hey all,
im looking at getting a BlackBerry 7100t, found one for cheap on the internet. Its unlocked and i have T-Mobile and was wondering if i would run into any problems since the phone is unlocked. Would i be able to use all of the features of the unlocked BlackBerry through t-mobile? assuming i have a data plan and what not. Would i run into any problems with frequencies? I really dont know anything about cell phone carriers and phones so any help would be great!

the 7100t is specifically for T-mobile, so you will have no problems....unlocked or not. if you plan on using it only with t-mobile, then getting a locked 7100t may save you some bucks, although i'm not sure if there are big price differences or not.
unlocking it just gives it the ability to be used on other GSM carriers, like cingular, but since you are with t-mobile, it won't make a difference if it was unlocked or not.
The data plan you need has to be one of the blackberry data plans...any of the other plans won't work...besides, the blackberry data plans are cheaper anyway.
If i were you, i'd look for the 7105t...it's slightly upgraded version of the 7100t, and from what i hear the upgrades make it much better. Or if you can find one, look for an unlocked 7130c (specific to cingular). It's newer, and if unlocked, can be used with t-mobile.
