Touch Pro2

Seriously considering it when it comes out. I have the Touch Pro and it's nice, but I want the bigger screen,

Here's a recent video: http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/16/f...o2-with-video/

Do you buy your phones full price since you are still in contract?

I get work to pay for my phones.
I hear all the US carriers will carry it, by Verizon is possibly coming later in the year and possibly a detuned version.

It's a dual-band phone hence the abundance of carriers.

I believe right now at least Sprint and T-Mobile are lined up for it. IMO it's not worth the price for the same processor you already have. All the upgrades to this edition are superficial. Basically the insides are just the same as the Touch Pro.

Superficial is what I'm about.
Work will pay for it and I'll be able to sell my current TP for $$$. It's still in mint condition.

I'm not to geeked about it. I am annoyed that my stylus has disapeared from my touch pro though. Damn magnetic holding doesn't work at all...

I like the fact that there are REAL buttons on the bottom and a larger screen... my currents TP basically has a wasted 1/4 of its space with some questionable buttons at the bottom!
Also, whatz up with the current $500 dollar TP NOT having a conference call function? My Treo Brick phone had that...LOL

It's got a 600mhz processor, what more do you want.

I have the touch pro as well and even with a cooked Rom i still have problems with the phone. I sure hope that touch pro 2 is a better upgrade than current version. But i will be waiting for the Hero to show up at the end of this year for Srpint. I cant complain though about my plan. $30 for unlimited everything but standard cell usage is great.

Sounds like a winner!

I just flashed my first ROM (mighty rom) to my touch pro and it is really like a new phone now in many aspects.

I am available for an upgrade, and being that I am not under contract, it should be easy to get a touch pro2 for free. I'll probably wait three or four months to let the initial excitement die down before upgrading. Until then ROM flashes will keep me feeling like a new phone owner.

I just got sprint to send me Airave for free though. Can't wait to get it, reception at the house is HORRIBLE!

I have the first Touch Pro and absolutely love it! I get yearly hardware upgrades so I've already circled the date on my calendar when I'm eligible for an upgrade to the Pro 2

I've got RDP running on mine so I can remote into my media center at home when I'm on the road and schedule shows to record, etc. The bigger screen on the Pro 2 will be a big help for RDP and browsing the web.

I GOT IT!!!! Damn it's a nice phone and the screen is HUGE compared to the Mogul. The screen on the TP2 alone is almost the same size as the whole Mogul...haha

I ordered mines today and hopefully i will get it tomorrow or thrusday. Just need to get rid of all the useless apps that sprint loads the phone with. Hopefully a cooked rom will be out soon. I am running win mo 6.5 and hopefully a cooked rom can bring 6.5 to the tp2 and the Hero comes out October 13th so if this is a fail phone than ill just get the Hero.

Got my tmobile TP2. As everyone knows the Screen, construction, and quality of the phone are amazing. But what i love is that Tmobile really didnt cook anything into the rom except the my faves feature, which you can disable with some trickery. For the first time i can honestly say that i dont have the need for a cooked rom. This one just works. The phone is fast as hell even with tons of apps open. Opera Mobile beta with turbo is as fast as desktop browsing. Skyfire is the shit for watching flash content. Slingplayer works great. I am more giddy with this phone than i was when i got the iphone. This is what ive been waiting for, a winmo phone with a huge screen and amazing GUI. If HTC would have thrown in a capacitive screen then i would have never purchased another phone again.............this year!

I have to totally agree with bigman.. I cannot believe how smooth this phone runs. Even with the memory at over 75% usage its still smooth as butter and Oprea 9.7 is absolutely amazing.

Cant wait to see what comes out next but this should hold me over for a while without a doubt.

Yeah, verizon's phone is $150 cheaper but I think you will pay more for your voice/data plan if you go with verizon. At the end of the 2 year contract you may end up paying less all together on sprint.

He cant do deals on contract because it shows up as a red flag. but he usually cuts me a deal for the phone for a little les than it would be with a contract extension, but i dont have to extend my contract. get it.

yeah, Verizon gets you on the back end with high rates and ridiculously expensive data plan. Sprint and the 99 unlimited is awesome. I cant beat the $49 unlimited voice, $24.99 data, and 6.99 insurance i am getting with tmobile. I'll take a few dropped calls and spotty 3g coverage for that price any day.

Gotta love the old sero plans. That is the only reason why i continue to stay on sprint $30 for 500 mins and unlimited everything else. But after two days with the phone i am very impressed with the speed and man i love the screen. I miss win mo. 6.5 i had on my previous phone and cant wait for a cooked rom to come out. I believe they have been working on an unlocker for this phone for about 2 months so hopefully it will be out soon and cooked roms will soon to follow. I am a little disappointed at the g-sensor and how long it takes to rotate the screens when texting. But so far i like what i got.

My only two issues with Might Rom thus far are that my keyboard is more sensitive. I get double letters if I'm not very careful. The other thing I don't like is that when on a call my phone hibernates almost immediately, so I have to turn the phone back on if I want to use the keypad to dial additional numbers (VERY ANNOYING).

Other than that the Might ROM is off the hook!
