So I saw this last night in an ad.

Looks like a little sidekick2 competitor. And after living on the road with a band that all has sidekicks in addition to their cellphones, I can now see where the sidekick2 is a fucking great device...you never know when you are going to have internet! luckily i have it today at the venue in Iowa...


Anyway, So the Ogo is cheaper but in cost and monthly fees. BUT does it also surf the web like the sidekick? or is it just email and chat?

I like the design of the sidekick2 better of course, but if it does everything the kick does and its cheaper...then i may go with that.

 

it is going to be a lot cheaper then the sidekick but is going to be data only. no voice. and plans for it are only going to be $20 a month

 

it is just text and acces to aol, yahoo, or msn, email or IM

no other internet is avail that i know about. i'll have to check it out tomorrow when i get back to the store

 

hmmm maybe the sidekick is a better deal then at 30/mos for data. if the ogo only gives you text and one other choice for 17/mos and cant really surf the net.

berner...i dont need the phone part, have my cell for it. havent met anyone on this tour that uses the sidekick as a phone. they all have seperate phones for that.

 

sidekick is awsome.......ogo is cheap non sense...

if you have an email acct with aol msn or yahoo, you can access it

 

the price is right.....for text and aim alone it is awsome...i assume their whole market for that is going to be 12-16 year olds...who do 4k texts a month and live on aim...

Posting from new sidekick2...took the plunge this evening...god its better then borrowing my friends cause now I have it all set up my way.

This thing rules.

 

i would rather spend $10 more a month and get internet, aim, 3 email accounts, txt and all the planner shit the sidekick comes with

 

totally worth it.

This thing kicks ass, addictive as hell though.

 

i havent had one young peson come in to look at this thing. only people with downs syndrome have checked it out. i think this will backfire on att

 

i dont think it was marketed yet...i only found out from other dealers.....no one i know has talked about it....and unless they start handing them to rappers like they did sidekicks no one is gonna notice it....
