Sony Picture Package Software

Does anyone have a Sony miniDV digital camcorder?

I borrowed my friend's camcorder to tape something very important to me and I found that without the Sony Picture Package software, which my friend cannot find, I cannot get the video off the tape onto my computer.

The only way to get it is to download it I have found.

So, does anyone have the cd? Perhpas I can get a copy or you can throw the ISO online and I can download it? I have broadband at my place.

Thanks for all the help,
Elliot

You should be able to import it using a firewire connection and any relatively recent video editing software.

Plug in camera to computer via firewire, and XP media player should detect the connection and "ask" you if you want to "rip" /"download" the video to your computer. No Sony software should be needed.
