It's not officially but you can get tri-band asian models on eBay and Carigslist. In one ad I also read it's quad band. Need to check the specs on SE site.

FYI the P910i/a series did not have a full HFP profile built in and I am under the impression its the same technology in the P990.

I had a P910 and could not make or receive calls correctly w/ HFL. The phone worked fine (and I liked it a lot) but every bluetooth call attempt, it would dump the connection back to the handset and fail. I could manually connect them (call, press button on car, say "transfer", then hit 'accept' on the phone) but that was it. Yes, the phone had been setup to recognize HFL as a trusted device.

Many hours of googling revealed the HFP profile problem to me and in the end I dumped the phone on eBay. I'd love to heat that the 990 has a better implementation and works but I'm going to wait for an Acura user to get one firsthand this time instead of guinea'ing myself.

don't do it (if you haven't yet). the 990 is a not worth the money. it's a piece of shiet! i got it and dumped it after 2 weeks of using it. ui is super slow. i would constantly get software errors that would make the phone unusable. the errors would go away after i'd do a hard reset but after a few days they would come back. i updated the firmware but still got the same errors after a few days. the display is awesome, speaker phone and ear peice are crisp and clear (not metallic in sound and it's got good bass). but to get to the speaker phone while on a call you'd have to go through 3 or 4 steps just to enable it. it's crap! rf is horrible! i would not get a signal where my ipaq 6940 would get 3 bars. sony ericsson's got a lot of work to do on this peice of plastic they call their flagship.
