The signed/encrypted email thread
The signed/encrypted email thread
So I got signing and encryption working on my Outlook work account but I'd like to know if there's a way to get signing or encryption on Gmail, bonus points if it's also on iPhone. I know there's a Firefox add-on for signing in Gmail but I use Chrome and IE9. So, any way to do that on Chrome or IPhone?

That Secmailer app looks cool, unfortunately there's not a lot of description out there. It *seems* like it supports any other email app but I wonder if it works with Gmail accounts too or only POP/IMAP.
And Gmail gives you HTTPS to your account, but it does nothing as far as authenticating the emails you send/receive or encrypting the emails you send out. I know that using a webmail provider defeats the purpose a little bit since your mail is already stored in someone else's system, but there is still value in knowing that an email you receive was signed, and you may want to send out encrypted Gmail to someone who doesn't have Gmail.
