Should I?
Should I?
Ok...my iPhone troubles continue. Each time I have done a major update to my iPhone it has locked up and refuses to do anything. First time I believe was due to bad software but this time it's worse. I just upgraded to 2.1 and now the computer is telling me that the SIM card is missing, which it is not. I've never even taken it out.
This phone has been more trouble than my dad's Saab 9000 ever was. The silent switch is fritzing out, the phone crashes and has to be rebooted by the Genius Bar every time I update it and it locks up for no apparent reason when being used. That and it drops calls like a mofo...
I have friends who have gotten Apple to replace their iPhones with essentially no questions asked but they do not seem to be keen on helping me get rid of my problem child. Every time I bring it up the guys at the GB quickly steer me away from the subject or offer some other excuse to the phone's behavior as if I'm on Apple's shit list.
My question is this: Do I have a case here? The phone is clearly defective or at least suffering from some serious hardware issues and I'd like to have Apple replace it. Is this too much to ask?

You have to basically go there, tell them youve been multiple times and they havent been able to fix and you want it replaced.
If that doesnt work, call apple.
My friend had similar issues with a 3g, did some research and there are a few with internal hardware issues. I believe he took it in, made his case and got a new one.
