I think with a company like Samsung, these details of pancake ass can't possibly be a mistake. I am sure they are there to verify the clarity of their TVs.

I still stand by my statement that this is a testament to Samsung's ability to generate pictures of intense clarity, even if it is one of a pancake ass. No way some team of marketing geniuses could have overlooked that. It had to of been done on purpose.
