The OS is choppy ill admit, but my girl has it and she gets a lot of "Oh what kind of phone is that?" (in a good way). She digs the slide out keyboard and the all touch screen like the iPhone minus the smoothness. I do admit it's a crappy phone overall. It's choppy, the camera is a joke, and the LCD is sensitive. My girl dropped her phone twice and the LCD inside the phone cracked and I had to buy a replacement LCD on ebay.

True, but those are understatements. The touchscreen is just horrible. I would be touching the top of the screen and it would click the bottom menu. It spontaneously tweaks out and starts clicking itself. I'd be holding in my palm and just watch it pop in and out of the menus. A couple time it's called people in my phonebook in the middle on the night. I've missed class I don't know how many times cuz i'd hit snooze bit it would select dismiss. And every time Verizon releases and "update" it just seems to get worse. Now I have to reset it countless times a day just to try and get it working properly for a few minutes. I don't know how they can put a phone like that into production. Can't wait till i get rid of this shit brick.

Well I don't own one, but it sounds like you need to calibrate the touchscreen. All touchscreens need calibration.

You also need to check which SW version you are running. The most current SW for the glyde is u940.BK14. The touch screen issue is a known problem and this SW fixes it. Take it to any corporate store and they will flash it for you for free.

has nothing to do with the calibration. My girl has this phone and it sucks ass. Her touchscreen is either inaccurate or unresposnive even after a recalibration. Her OS is trash and cant get on the net even tho Verizon has claimed they fixed it. Samsung needs to recall that bs

The phone has no calibration option and the updates don't do shit. I have the newest update and it just got worse.

i had that phone. it was awesome the first couple weeks i had it, but then the screen started being retarded. I'd press the menu button up top, and the menu bar on the bottom would come up. and then it would just call randmo people. luckily for me, i passed out at a party and someone jacked it from me. now im back to my ol' reliable.

cliffs: samsung glyde is shitty.

Bad capacitive screen. They recently replaced it with a resistive screen FTW
