Back Story:
2006 TSX
Found out the other day that I can get Alltel (or AT&T) through work at a discount. I currently have Verizon and have been VERY happy with it so it will be a little while till I decide.

Anyway...
I am interested in the Palm Treo 700wx.
According to HFL website Treo 700wx with Verizon (can pair), Treo 700wx with Alltel (can't pair).

Does this make sense? Why would this be the case?

 

If you are happy with Verizon, at renewal time ask them if they will give the same discount as the others. We get a discount with Sprint and the Verizon guy said they'd match it.

 

I may have to try that.

2 problems:
1. Only half way through my 2-year contract
2. Gonna add my fiancee to the plan, so I figured I would just start up a new "family" plan on the new network.
Get GREAT deals on phones plus 15% monthly bill

I e-mailed HFL to ask why a phone could be paired with one carrier and not the other

 

verizon said recently that it will allow phones from other companies to be used on their system , of course, only certain phones... this is suppose to start in early 2008... check with them and find out if that phone qualifies... and BTW Spint is offering me a 20% discount if i stay with them at the end of my contract... the marketplace is changing so enjoy some savings!
