Reducing LCD Field of View...?

Anyone know of a screen protector or something for LCD's that will reduce their field of view?

I have a big ass 21" Dell at work, and even at 1600x1200, these damn smileys can be seen from afar!!!

How can I reduce the field of view of this LCD? I want it to only be viewable from eye level, direct on. Not from above, not from aside.

I use them in the bank for our LCD's...they work great. Think they're made by 3M.

You could duct tape a card board box around the front of your monitor, or get a hood like for NFL replays...

Should be more like $80 to $200. The 3m ones posted are about $150

Just complain about the glare on the LCD even though there isn't much at all.

Yih right. We are designing a mission critical tax department application, yet, for months I've been bitching about not having the most up-to-date development software.

... I just got an e-mail from the Desktop Planning department informing me that they will inquire as to the availability of purchasing the product

ya you can get the 3m ones cheap for anything under 19"'s ($110-$140). Seems the 21" filter is $$$.

Is there a difference between the LCD and the CRT filters? Most of the sites seem to hint that there is (unless it's just a sizing thing)...
