Redhat Linux memory help

anyone know how i can find out which processes are hogging up the memory? and how would I kill those processes?

9:38am up 46 days, 19:45, 4 users, load average: 0.26, 0.31, 0.23

"top" should allow you to rank programs by memory consumption
