Question for Motorala Startec owners
I just added text messaging to the phone, and I can't figure out how to get it to only vibrate when there is a new text message
Weather I have the phone on vibrate mode or not, the new text message either beeps once or 3 times
Only settings I can see
Scared the **** out of me in the middle of the night and woke me up, I want to set it to vibrate mode
Is this possible and I am just missing something ?

I had a Motorola Timeport, which is similar, and when I went under "Tone Control" and selected "Silent Mode On" it replaced all of the ringers and tones with vibrating. A short vibration replaced the single beep and a series of three vibrations replaced the three-beep.
Here's the other thing: If the phone is on a charger, it automatically cancels vibrate mode! I found that out the hard way in the middle of the night. The thing is, if it is NOT on a charger and you have reminder beeps on in vibrate mode, you can expect a dead battery in the morning if you get a voicemail or text message in the middle of the night.
Hope this helped. Let us know how it goes.
