Powerbooks in Windows-centric WLAN's

Do any of you Mac experts know of a resource that shows in gory detail all of the wireless connection and authentication options available in OS 10.4.X? I've only found minimal information on Apple's site.

I am trying to determine if a current generation Powerbook would be capable of authenticating to our wireless environment. We use PEAP for authentication which I have seen is supported by 10.4.x. However, I haven't been able to find any information on how Tiger handles certificates for the authentication server(s). In our Windows-based environment, clients get these certificates automatically via Active Directory auto-enrollment settings.

Additionally, we have the Active Directory computer account authenticate and not the user. I saw a couple of things on Apple's site that make it look as if a Mac can join a Windows domain. The questions are, will it have a regular computer account in the Windows domain and can Mac OS use this account for wireless authentication?

When last I checked (about a year ago). OS X didn't support enterprise WPA encryption, which I assume is what you need to get the PEAP going.

Thanks Scrib, that's exactly what I was looking for. That should save me a bunch of hunting/guessing time. I haven't had my hands on a Mac since the early days of System 8.

From the description though, it doesn't sound as if there's a way to get a computer account to authenticate.
