Phone book for cell phones

You guys aren't talking about this?

It's been in the news for the last few days.

From what I have heard only Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will withhold customer cell phone numbers from the listing.

The rest of you are FUCKED

There's still a law on the book about telemarketing calls to a cellphone.

And your name does or will show up on caller ID.

What's the big deal?

Here's what I heard:

You MIGHT have a choice whether or not to have your number listed, but if you choose not to list, then you'll have to pay. Sorta like having an unpublished number for a regular landline number.

Ken,

It is a big deal. Not only telemarketers would be looking up your cell number to call.... the directory would be available to anyone.

And besides, we all know that telemarkets call anyway... I've been on that list and I still get calls sometimes.
