Anyone know what a (the) subsidy code is? I am trying to unlock my v3.
On that aside, does anyone have the software on your computer to download ringtones to your phone? I have the cable but not the software and was wondering if someone could send me a copy or tell me where to download it from.

subsidy codes are different for each phone and depends on the IMEI. once entered, it unlocks your phone. you would have to go to an unlocking website or download software to get the subsidy code for your phone.

 

Just call your service provider and request the subsidy unlock code. Tell them you're going to be traveling abroad and would like to use a local service to make calls.

 

If they dont give it to you it is located in Seem 55, record 1, length A. Check howardforums for more help on it

 

Do you have the address? I tried looking on their site, but I am not sure what "seem 55, record1, length A" is?

 

I don't think this is correct, but I may be wrong. I've modded my old V3 a decent amount. The easiest way I have seen that is usually guaranteed to work is SmartClip or GSMLiberty.

As far as putting ringtones on your phone, use software called p2kman. If you need a link, let me know.

As far as that SEEM, you can use p2kman to download it and view it.
