Outlook Email Test Error - Bugging me

I have 3 machines shipped from Dell for a client, and all 3 are having this issue.

When they try to Test the email account in Microsoft Outlook, they get the network error connection ALTHOUGH there is internet connection.

Check the snap, you can see that the test errored out BUT i can ping the pop server.

I have searched a little and nothing. I thought it was the Internet Gateway option enabled which I removed but it still the same issue.

After I setup the account, I CAN send/receive

Any clues?

You got a firewall running on those PCs that could be blocking?

uh...is wtf@test.com a legitimate email account, and those are the pop and smtp addresses for the test.com domain? otherwise, your test is destined to fail.

you need a real email account and password, with the correct settings, in order to successfully test.

oh I added fake emails for the print screen. I tried with the original emails. The problem is even before trying to see if the email is correct. Making a TCP/IP connection.

They have SP1a

It was easier than any other approach.

SP2 did not fix it, but a simple change on the snapped option made it work
