Outlook and Email address question

my company has the email services hosted by 1and1 but we have our own domain name. so everyone's emails is xxx@xyzcompany.com.

but i don't know why with the emails i send, they will get tagged w/ me 1and1 account name like: account#@exchange.1and1.com as the email address. I can't seem to change that to me@xyzcompany.com.

anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Do you have access to the Exchange server?

The RUS is populating a bad SMTP address and needs to be corrected.

As usual, Whiskers is correct. Just to clarify though, it should almost certainly be 1and1's responsibility (not yours) to get the recipient update service (RUS) working properly for your domain. Contact 1and1's tech support.

Try setting the "Reply-To" field just to see what happens.

If you are using outlook, the "Reply-To" field is located in your account settings area where you can edit the email accounts you have setup for outlook.

There is nothing in Outlook that can solve this.....It has to be done on the Exchange server. I guess you can try to load Outlook on a different machine

i use 1and1 as well and i've never had that problem....contact customer support again and demand a solution(even though they are ridiculously hard to get ahold of).
