Number porting
Number porting
I currently have Nextel service, provided by one of the companies I work for. Nextel has gone to shit here, and I want to move to a different carrier (I also want a new phone and Nextel's phones suck). I want to keep the number I have but technically the account is in my boss's name. Is it possible to do this and if so, how?
it has to be back in the companys name...since the company legally owns that phone number...i've heard diffrent things that can be done..but have yet to see it being done...
Talk to yuppie...he had other ways to do it...

if going to a diff carrier and keeping the same number, you must have it registered under that same persons/company's credit info, unless,
you doa cofr into your name and then you can do what you want with it, and not have to rely on someone else to make the changes

is it in your bosses name or the company name? with verizon we can put it from one name to another as long as we put the origional persons name and ss# in one of the boxes in the activation process. even if its in the companys name and you put it in yours all you have to do is call the port center and verify what you are doing with the existing account holders information.
