Newsgroup/forum software for company intranet?

Anybody have any recommendations for what to use? I'm working on getting a basic forum type setup on our corporate intranet. Ideally it would just document ongoing discussions in a better format than email, so everyone sees the same thing.

I'd actually like it to work a lot like this place. Is there a very basic vbulletin? Or something like it in MSDN?

Checkout Sharepoint Services. Sharepoint Services is a seperate download but now considered a free extension to IIS.

The step up from that would be Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 and then Project Server.

Why not just have all your coworkers sign up here at AZ? I'm sure if there were enough of them Soopa would give you guys a subforum or something.

There are enough of us here that are familiar with phpbb. If you have any questions just ask... Put phpbb in the thread title, and handruin, synth19 and the rest of the phpbb admins should reply.
