It seems like a few of you on here have the latest and greatest cell phones, but I, by far, have the worst.

Samsung SCH-A310


I bought this phone a couple months after it came out, per the recommendation of the Verizon salesmen. It turned out to be the biggest piece of GARBAGE. Worst phone I have ever bought. I still have a year (Jan '05) left of my contract, but I'm really looking into getting a new phone.
I'm not picky, I don't need a camera (got the digi), nothing special, just something that works. I talk alot, and this phone get hot after 5 min, short battery life, bad reception, etc.

My b/f has a buddy who works for Motorola, so those phones are an option, but otherwise I have no preference. Can you recommend me anything?

it doesnt look that bad...if you get a new phone now you would probably have to pay full price. newer samsungs are out like A530, i would even try the audiovox cdm 8600 they have out...or the LGs 4400/4500/6000. just expect to donate a kidney to get a discounted price.

me personally i hate all of those phones. id wait it out.

 

if u got the moto hook up just go with a v60...awsome throw back

 

what does "awesome throw back" mean?

i was looking at the V60s. i think it looks sharper than the Vx6000.

v60 is so old, and no color screen?...

 

i know, but my wife doesn't really care about the color screen gimmick. doesn't it use more battery power? the exterior of the V60s looks much nicer than the LG's, IMO.

mike, i don't want to make you go out of your way... besides, i don't know how late it would be after i drop off the car and have dinner w/ the in-laws.

hopefully we'll get a tsx loaner..... but i bet they'll give us an automatic.

for a girl , i suggest the new samsung camera flip phone, my girl has one , and the camera has flash and takes really nice pics, and its light with no external antenna. nice phone

 

i've been thinking about getting the Samsung x426/427 or the a530....I've had an old nokia 3360 for 2 1/2 years and I figure its time to upgrade. Anyone have any recommendations? And like 98CLChick i don't need/want a camera phone...
