Question New Laptop Battery

I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop and the battery it came with is such a piece of crap. Even new it wouldn't hold a full charge for more than an hour. Now it is completely dead and I have to use the wall adapter to use it.

I don't really want to buy a replacement from Dell's website because the 9-cell is $155 and definitely not worth it because it probably will be the same pos.

Any suggestions where to purchase a new one such as tigerdirect or newegg or amazon? I am looking now on amazon and see a 9-cell battery for $30! Is that legit? I'm guessing it is a generic brand but as long as it doesn't blow up I'm fine with that.

Apparently yes. After going to their site just now it looks like they are selling a 9-cell Rayovac for $120. Good place to get good batteries?

I bought a Rayovac replacement for an older Dell, and it works great.

Went with a battery from ebay. Fits perfectly and charged quick. Got 3 hours on a full charge.

Best of all, it was $35 shipped rather than $155 from Dell.

As long as they have a warranty of atleast 1 year then your ok. I used to buy batteries from ebay and they usually dont last more than 3 months. Recently bought from one of the sellers in amazon with 1 year warranty for my laptop and so far so good.
