Need cell phone advise
My 76 year old grandmother has asked me about getting a cell phone for her. She doesn't want it for a phone but as an emergency thing so if she's stuck somewhere she has a way to make a phone call.
I looked at some plans & it seems all that's around is like 300+ minute plans. She's not going to use that. She might use 60 a month if that. She's not a tech person & gets fustrated at those things. I know she wouldn't be using it.
I looked into prepay but found out the minutes expire after 30 dyas so again that's a waste of $$.
Any suggestions on what I can do.

i remember seeing somehwere that there was a phone that only makes 911 calls, if you're talking about that kind of emergency phone. i believe there was no service required.

something like this but i think it was at sharper image or something.
why not get a family plan, where she's on the same plan as you, and you have combined minutes? that way she can use 5-10 minutes a month off your usage.
