My Experience with Verizon!
To give you a bit of background. I have been with Verizon since 1996 and have been happy with them. However, Last January I purchase a V60S (with speakerphone) and it's been the biggest POS EVER! I have had several V60's and loved them but the new one with speakerphone sucked ass. I was dropping calls, losing signal everywhere (I thought I had switched to Nextel), and poor overall performance. I have tried several times to have those problems corrected but both customer servie and the techs at the stores have been useless. This leads to last Friday...
I was stuck in traffic on Rt. 9 in Framingham so I thought I'd stop by Sherwood Plaza to check out the Treo 600 at the Verizon corporate store. I went in and immediately I was greeted by a staff asking if I need help. I told him I was just looking around andif he knew anything about the Treo 650 that may be coming out for Verizon. He said he didn't know but he got a sales person to answer my questions. Raf, the sales guy was very attentive and was very willing to help. Raf asked me why I wanted to get rid of my phone and I told him about the history. He immediate looked up my account and told me that I am not eligible for the sale price until January. Right after he said that he informed me that he would however help me resolve my issue. Raf spoke with his manager and they agreed that they would swap out my V60s with a LG VX4500, FREE! I was surprised and repeated his offer. Raf confirmed and he even transferred my 250+ names in my phone book to the new LG.
Ever since I got the LG the reception has been awesome and the new features are amazing. For anyone who has had a bad experience with Verizon I'd say go to another store, I am sure someone will take care of you.
