Six or seven times in the last two days I've had the screen go completely white when I flip the phone open. If I close it and open it again the screen is back to normal.

Anyone seen this with other Motorola phones? This is a little ridiculous for a new model to have such an obvious bug. I went back to Cingular and they gave me another V551 - THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN.

Other than that, the phone is absolutely perfect. Very user friendly, great audio, great screen, great buttons, great feel, etc.

 

Had the same exact problem with a V400, Motorola Phones SUCK IMO, I have had bad experiences with all of them, maybe the higher end models are better, my uncle just got the v505 from ATT and he has all types of problems too

 

There's a reason why Verizon sales rep doesn't try to sell any Motorolas. Gayass problems with firm ware and crap.

 

Uh, Verizon has great coverage and decent Customer Service but they don't push Moto phones because "Get It Now" inhibits them too much. Those "gayass problems with firm ware" have to do with that crapass "Get It Now" feature. Always good to have some information and facts when making an assertion.

AcuraAddict, I'd take the phone back. Obviously something is defective on it. Should be a simple swap out.
