The moto 710 has been taken off the shelves for verizon and been recalled. Nothing really too serious but the camera lens on some of them is not centered properly and will take a pix at an angle. One guy came in and the camera was taking pictures of the antenna. Its supposed to be rereleased in a couple weeks once they fix the problem.

 

Is this a recall or just another fix?

Because fixes are made all the time, a recall means every owner needs to be officially notified and steps taken to eliminate the safety issue? Instructions would be issued to the owner to identify if they have a problem and if so, how to get the free fix or replacement.

Is there a recall notice on the Verizon or Motorola website? Every recall is serious.

 

Ill have to find out more details. I know we cant sell them anymore. I dont really think it affected to many handsets but is a problem which has been brought to our attention. From what I can tell there is nothing on our website telling customers about it so they prob just took it off the shelves to fix the problem before they rerelease it.

 

I heard about that issue on HowardForums back when Radio Shack was the only one selling them. It took them long enough to do something about it.
