Microsoft Powerpoint Help for my Comp Class

im looking to play a movie and a sound file at the same time, but yet the 2 cant launch. can i disable the sound in the movie so i can play the music over the movie?

my computer apps teacher said i could do it with somehting along the lines of a hex editor, but yet he didnt say the word hex editor. i somewhat know what im doing with them, but not really. could i just disable the sound some other way without having to re-write the program itself?

if i must do it with a hex editor, i need help. can someone help me here?

my computer teacher is a d!ck and he expects the extra mile in his class becuase i can pull 100%'s out of my ass...he never misses a chance to yell at me. i told him i'd try to rewrite a few video files and see what happened.
