Mac - Image Capture question

Is there away to import with image capture so it imports folders by date from a memory card?

iPhoto is the fucking devil to me, I do not want to mess with it anymore. I hate that it creates duplicates and it's slower then my yorkshire terrier trying to shit out a toy car.


I'll look into using lightroom for now on since I have that; but is it not possible with IC?

IC is pretty basic. Simply an import UI.

There is a means to dissable that feature. It's in the preferences, simply uncheck the Copy pictures to iPhoto thingy in preferences.
